First seen Apr 12, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tests whether using virtual reality (VR) or a smartphone game can help reduce pain and anxiety when people with second-degree burns get their bandages changed. About 99 adults will be split into three groups: one using VR, one using a phone game, and one getting standard care. The goal is to see if these simple distractions make the experience less painful and stressful.
