First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study reviews past jaw joint replacement surgeries to see if standard, lower-cost prostheses can be planned using 3D virtual tools as effectively as expensive custom-made ones. Researchers will compare planned positions from X-rays with actual surgical outcomes in 30 patients treated between 2010 and 2025. The goal is to make advanced surgical planning more affordable without sacrificing quality.
