Virtual groups aim to ease the loneliness of diabetes management

Summary

This study is testing whether regular online meetings with other people who have type 1 diabetes can help reduce feelings of isolation and distress. It will connect 300 adults across Canada into small virtual support groups based on shared life experiences. The goal is to see if this peer support improves mental wellbeing and quality of life for people managing this chronic condition.
