Virtual park cycling aims to slow muscle decline in kids

NCT ID NCT07580365

First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether children with muscle diseases (like muscular dystrophy) who cycle while using a virtual park app can slow down their loss of movement skills. About 22 kids aged 6 to 17 will first get standard therapy for 3 months, then add the virtual park cycling 3 times a week for another 3 months. Researchers will measure motor function and engagement to see if the virtual reality approach helps more than standard care alone.
