First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding virtual reality (VR) nature experiences to standard depression treatment improves mood and reduces symptoms. 45 adults with mild to moderate depression were split into three groups: high-end VR, low-end VR, or standard treatment alone. The goal was to see if virtual nature could make people feel better and motivate them to be more active outdoors.
