First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tests a new 3D visualization tool called vEUA that helps surgeons see fistulas (abnormal tunnels) in perianal Crohn's disease before surgery. About 30 adults who need surgery for fistulas or abscesses will be randomly assigned to standard care or care with the 3D model. The goal is to see if the tool improves surgical accuracy, reduces repeat procedures, and boosts patient quality of life.
