Donor cells deployed to battle dangerous Post-Transplant viruses

NCT ID NCT05664126

Summary

This study is testing whether specially selected infection-fighting cells from a donor can safely treat dangerous viral infections in patients who have had a stem cell transplant. The trial will enroll 42 patients whose CMV or adenovirus infections haven't responded to standard antiviral drugs. Researchers will measure how well these donor cells reduce virus levels in the blood and monitor patients for side effects.
