Summary
This study is testing whether giving special virus-fighting cells from a donor on a regular schedule works better than waiting until a viral infection appears in patients who have received a stem cell transplant. Researchers want to see if this preventive approach reduces serious infections and avoids the side effects of current antiviral medications. The trial will involve 180 participants who have had transplants and are at risk for viral complications.
