Summary
This study aims to find out which viruses cause severe lung infections in older adults (60 years and older) who are hospitalized. Researchers will test respiratory samples from 5900 participants to identify specific viruses, including flu, RSV, and COVID-19. The goal is to better understand the burden of these infections in this age group, not to test a new treatment.
