NCT ID NCT05416489
First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study compares two methods—videolaryngoscopy (using a camera) and direct laryngoscopy (using a standard blade)—for positioning the breathing tube during a tracheostomy procedure in ICU patients. The goal is to see which method helps doctors place the needle below the tube more accurately, reducing risks like cuff puncture. About 90 adult ICU patients who need a tracheostomy will take part.
