NCT ID NCT07495436

First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study will compare two methods of placing a breathing tube in children having surgery: using a video camera (videolaryngoscopy) versus a standard direct view. Over 5,500 children aged 0-16 will take part to see which method leads to successful tube placement on the first attempt. The goal is to find out if the video approach reduces complications and improves safety.
