Video vs. flashcards: which trains nurses better for brain surgery care?
NCT ID NCT07284537
Summary
This study tested two teaching methods for nursing students learning how to care for patients with a brain drain (external ventricular drainage). 90 students were randomly assigned to learn from either a 57-minute video or a set of flashcards with the same information. Researchers measured changes in the students' knowledge, confidence, and self-reported skills before and after the training to see which method worked better.
