New video masks aim for safer, quicker breathing help in surgery
NCT ID NCT07361042
Summary
This study aims to see if a new type of breathing mask with a tiny video camera helps anesthesiologists place it more easily and safely during surgery. It will compare the new video mask to a standard mask in 560 adult patients undergoing planned surgery. Researchers will measure how often it works on the first try, how long it takes to start proper breathing support, and if there are fewer side effects like a sore throat.
