Can video calls save lives? new therapy tested for high suicide risk
NCT ID NCT07395817
Summary
This small pilot study aims to see if a short course of therapy delivered by video call is helpful for adults with mood disorders who are at high risk for suicide. Forty participants will be randomly assigned to receive either their usual care alone, or their usual care plus eight video therapy sessions. The therapy focuses on crisis management, coping skills, and preventing relapse, with the main goal of reducing suicide attempts over three months.
