First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a special video called "Let's go to the dentist!" could help lower dental anxiety in children ages 8 to 12. About 496 kids in Depok City, Indonesia, took part. Some watched the video, some watched a general educational video, and some watched nothing. Researchers measured their anxiety before and after using a standard scale. The goal was to see if the video modeling approach made a real difference in calming kids' fears about dental visits.
