Video games help stroke patients swallow better
NCT ID NCT05978700
Summary
This study tested whether a video game-based swallowing training program works better than standard rehabilitation for stroke patients with swallowing difficulties (dysphagia). Researchers divided 84 patients into two groups: one used the video game therapy, while the other received conventional swallowing exercises. The main goal was to see if the video game approach improved swallowing function and if patients were more likely to stick with their training.
