Can a simple video ease Parents' fears about a critical test for their sick child?

NCT ID NCT07409220

Summary

This study is testing if showing parents a short video explaining a spinal tap (lumbar puncture) helps them feel more comfortable agreeing to the procedure for their child. Researchers will compare parents who see the video plus get standard verbal counseling to those who only get verbal counseling. The goal is to see if the video leads to more parents consenting to this important diagnostic test for suspected meningitis.
