VA probes hidden link between military jobs and lifelong back pain
NCT ID NCT07367139
Summary
This VA study aims to understand how whole-body vibration from military and civilian jobs—like operating vehicles or heavy machinery—contributes to back pain and spine damage in veterans. Researchers will use advanced MRI scans to look at the spines of 112 veterans, comparing those exposed to vibration with those who were not. The goal is to learn how vibration harms the spine over time and whether staying hydrated can help protect it.
