First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This pilot study tested a brief text-based intervention to help veterans with social anxiety reduce safety behaviors (like avoiding eye contact or rehearsing sentences) that get in the way of work and social life. Twenty-three veterans enrolled in a work therapy program participated. The goal was to see if the approach is feasible and to gather data for a larger future study.
