New test could pinpoint cause of mysterious dizzy spells

NCT ID NCT07000929

Summary

This study investigated whether a common test for dizziness could help doctors diagnose vestibular migraine, a condition that causes vertigo and headaches. Researchers compared eye movement test results from 173 people: those with vestibular migraine, those with regular migraine, and healthy volunteers. The goal was to find specific patterns in the test that could confirm a vestibular migraine diagnosis, which currently relies heavily on patient history.
