New study tests Braces-Like devices to help kids close their bite
NCT ID NCT07379632
First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at two dental devices—the Vertical Holding Appliance and the Zachrisson Transpalatal Arch—to see which works better for correcting anterior open bite in children aged 6 to 12. Anterior open bite means the front teeth don't touch when the mouth is closed. The trial will measure changes in jaw bone structure and how much the overbite improves. About 38 kids with good oral hygiene and no missing teeth or prior orthodontic treatment will take part.
