First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether playing a recorded voice that reminds patients where they are can reduce agitation and confusion when waking up from anesthesia. About 42 adults having laparoscopic abdominal surgery will be randomly assigned to hear the reminder or not. The goal is to see if this simple, drug-free approach leads to a calmer recovery.
