Soothing words may ease IUD pain for C-Section moms
NCT ID NCT07326007
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests whether verbal reassurance (calm, supportive talk) during copper IUD insertion can reduce pain in women who have only had cesarean deliveries. These women often experience more pain because their cervix has never dilated naturally. The trial will compare verbal analgesia to standard care in 88 participants, measuring pain, ease of insertion, and satisfaction.
