Doctors test which breathing support is best for the heart during surgery
NCT ID NCT07433530
Summary
This study aimed to find out which of two common breathing machine settings is better for supporting a patient's heart and blood flow during laparoscopic kidney removal surgery. Researchers compared a standard setting to a more protective lung setting in 30 patients. They carefully measured heart function to see if one method offered advantages for patient stability during the operation.
