Summary
This study is testing whether a simple guide (a "landmark") on the forearm can help parents and staff place a numbing patch in the exact spot where a vein is likely to be found using ultrasound. The goal is to make starting an IV less stressful for young children. About 75 children under 6 having surgery will take part. No extra needles or blood draws are involved.
