Cervical injection tested to improve surgery after miscarriage

NCT ID NCT07102615

Summary

This study is testing if an injection of a medicine called vasopressin into the cervix helps doctors completely remove leftover pregnancy tissue from the uterus using a camera-guided procedure. About 50 women who need this surgery after a miscarriage, abortion, or delivery will be randomly assigned to receive either the vasopressin injection or a placebo (saltwater) injection during their operation. The main goal is to see if the medicine helps surgeons finish the procedure successfully without having to switch to a different method.
