Doctors test three shots to shrink painful blood vessel growths

NCT ID NCT07320430

Summary

This study compared three different injection treatments for shrinking low-flow vascular malformations, which are abnormal tangles of blood vessels. 75 patients received one of three medications (ethanol, bleomycin, or polidocanol) injected directly into the malformation. Researchers measured how well each treatment shrank the lesions and tracked side effects and patient satisfaction over 18 months.
