Summary

This study tests a new device called the VARIPULSE catheter for people with a type of irregular heartbeat called persistent atrial fibrillation. The procedure uses heat energy to isolate certain veins in the heart to restore normal rhythm. The trial will check how safe the device is and how well it works over time in 920 participants.
