Hospital checks its own work: are we diagnosing ventilator pneumonia correctly?
NCT ID NCT07181824
Summary
This study aims to understand how well doctors at a French hospital follow official guidelines when diagnosing pneumonia in patients on breathing machines in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Researchers will look back at the medical records of 100 adult patients who were on a ventilator for more than two days between 2022 and 2024. The goal is to see if the tests ordered and treatments given matched the recommended rules, which could help improve future care.
