New drug tested for slowing muscle disease progression

NCT ID NCT05166109

Summary

This study tested a medication called vamorolone to see if it is safe and might help control Becker Muscular Dystrophy, a genetic condition that weakens muscles over time. For 24 weeks, 46 adult men with the condition took either vamorolone or a placebo pill. Researchers closely monitored participants for side effects and looked for early signs that the drug could help preserve muscle function.
