Electric implant aims to heal MS nerve damage

NCT ID NCT06796504

Summary

This study is testing whether a small implanted device that stimulates a nerve in the neck can help repair the protective coating (myelin) on nerves in people with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS). The device is surgically placed and delivers a minute of stimulation daily. The study will enroll 60 adults with stable RRMS who are already on standard medication to see if the stimulation is safe and can promote repair.
