First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested a non-invasive device that stimulates the vagus nerve through the ear to see if it could ease fatigue in people with lupus. Fifty women with lupus were split into two groups: one received the real stimulation plus exercise, and the other received a sham (fake) stimulation plus exercise. The goal was to measure changes in fatigue levels and walking ability after six weeks of treatment.
