Ear zaps aim to soothe chikungunya joint pain

Summary

This study tests a painless ear stimulation technique (taVNS) to reduce chronic joint pain in people who had Chikungunya fever. 51 adults with pain lasting at least 3 months will receive either real stimulation, a standard TENS treatment, or a placebo. The goal is to see if this nerve-zapping approach can improve pain, quality of life, and movement without medication.
