First seen Nov 05, 2025 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether a vaginal testosterone cream can prevent repeat urinary tract infections (UTIs) in postmenopausal women aged 60-90 who have had at least three UTIs. Researchers will compare the cream to a placebo over 9 months, tracking infection rates and vaginal health. The goal is to find a new option for women who cannot or choose not to use estrogen therapy.
