NCT ID NCT05205317

First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks at women with a scar defect from a past C-section that causes long, heavy periods. It compares vaginal repair surgery alone versus surgery plus metformin, a common diabetes drug that may also fight aging in the womb muscle. The goal is to see if adding metformin shortens periods and thickens the scar area. About 100 women aged 18-40 with confirmed defect and periods lasting over 10 days will take part.
