Summary

This study tests whether a vaginal probiotic can help prevent recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs) in women. Researchers will give participants a commercially available Lactobacillus probiotic for 3 months and track how well it colonizes the vagina and urinary tract. The goal is to see if boosting healthy bacteria can reduce UTI risk. The study involves 156 women over 18 with a history of recurrent UTIs.
