First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study involved 48 women to compare how they perceive and experience three different vaginal microbicide products: a low-volume gel, a high-volume gel, and a film. The goal was to understand which features users like or dislike, such as wetness, leakage, and sensation during sex, to help design better HIV prevention products in the future. Participants were healthy women aged 18-45 in monogamous relationships who used effective birth control.
