Scientists ask: what makes an HIV prevention gel feel right?
NCT ID NCT01334827
Summary
This study aimed to understand what women think about the feel and experience of using different vaginal products designed to help prevent HIV. Researchers asked 48 women and their male partners to try three different product forms (a low-volume gel, a high-volume gel, and a film) and report on sensations like wetness, messiness, and pleasure during sex. The goal was to gather information to help design future HIV prevention products that people will actually want to use.
