New pill challenges standard injection for dialysis Patients' anemia
NCT ID NCT06901505
Summary
This study is testing if a pill called vadadustat, taken three times a week, works as well as the standard injected medication (ESA) for treating anemia in adults on kidney dialysis. It aims to see if the pill can safely raise and maintain healthy red blood cell levels, potentially reducing the need for blood transfusions. The trial involves about 350 participants and will last around 35 weeks.
