Summary
This study tests a new tool designed to help people with advanced heart failure understand what life might be like after getting a ventricular assist device (VAD). The tool is based on surveys from previous patients about their physical, emotional, and social experiences at different times after surgery. Researchers want to see if doctors and patients find the tool useful and accurate. About 10 people scheduled for a VAD will take part.
