New shaver aims to cut surgical infections by vacuuming up hair and germs

Summary
This study compares a vacuum-assisted electric shaver to a standard one for removing hair before surgery. The goal is to see if the vacuum shaver reduces germs in the air and on surfaces, and if it lowers the risk of surgical site infections. About 120 men having laparoscopic surgery will take part. The results will help improve operating room cleanliness and patient safety.
