Summary

This study tests a program called VA S.A.V.E. that teaches family members and friends of Veterans how to spot signs of suicide risk and connect the Veteran to professional help. About 710 participants who are close to a Veteran will take the training and report how often they use the skills. The goal is to see if the training works and can be widely used.
