First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study involves 10 adults on a heart-lung machine (VA-ECMO) who are also on a breathing tube. Researchers want to see if using special imaging and pressure measurements can help set the breathing machine to improve how well the lungs work. The goal is to learn how to better match air and blood flow in the lungs, not to test a new treatment.
