Summary

This study looked at whether sending up to 10 caring postcards from a fellow Veteran could reduce loneliness and boost mental health in Veterans aged 50 and older who had missed VA appointments. Nearly 1,000 participants received the postcards and completed surveys over a year. The goal was to see if this simple, low-cost approach helps Veterans feel more connected and engaged with their healthcare.
