New treatment trial aims to boost platelets in bleeding disorder
NCT ID NCT06962631
Summary
This study is testing a new version of an existing treatment called V-IMMUNE for people with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), a condition where the immune system attacks platelets, increasing the risk of bleeding. The goal is to see if two daily infusions of V-IMMUNE can safely raise a patient's platelet count to a safer level within nine days. The trial is open to adults and children aged one year and older with very low platelet counts.
