New hope for ITP: can an infusion boost low platelets fast?
NCT ID NCT06962631
First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tests a medicine called V-IMMUNE® (a type of human immunoglobulin given through a vein) to see if it can safely raise platelet counts in people with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), a condition where the immune system destroys platelets, causing bleeding risk. About 31 adults and children aged 1 year and older with very low platelet counts (≤20,000/mm³) will receive two daily infusions. The main goal is to see if platelet levels reach at least 50,000/mm³ within 9 days.
