Head-to-Head showdown: three powerful drugs battle blinding eye disease
NCT ID NCT02929251
Summary
This study directly compared three biologic medications (adalimumab, anakinra, and tocilizumab) for treating severe uveitis that doesn't respond to standard treatments. Researchers enrolled 112 adults with this serious eye inflammation that can lead to blindness. The trial aimed to find which drug works best to reduce inflammation while allowing patients to use lower doses of steroid medications that cause side effects.
