Summary
This study aimed to find the best way to prevent urinary tract infections in children after a kidney stone removal procedure. Researchers compared giving preventive antibiotics against using stricter hygiene and monitoring measures. The trial involved 140 children aged 4 to 14 who had kidney stones and were undergoing a specific type of surgery called flexible ureteroscopy.
