New particles aim to shrink fibroids without surgery

Summary

This study is testing Bearing nsPVA particles, which are injected to block blood flow to uterine fibroids, shrinking them and easing symptoms like pain and heavy bleeding. About 100 women with symptomatic fibroids will be followed for 6 months to see if symptoms improve by at least half. The goal is to confirm the particles are safe and effective for controlling fibroids.
