Summary
This study tested if sending text messages could encourage more gay and bisexual men in Lima, Peru, to get tested for HIV. Researchers recruited 400 men online and randomly assigned some to receive text messages promoting testing. The goal was to see if this simple, private method could help connect men to health centers for testing, especially those who might avoid them due to stigma.
